My inspirations were drawn from life experiences. My artistic direction, I have learned, was always determined by the different journeys I experienced over the years. Journeys through different periods of life: change, love, sadness, loss, anxiety, fear, etc.Experiences determined and shaped the subject, colors, medium, textures, brush strokes in each of my art pieces. I believe that is why there is such a difference in the body of my work. From abstract to contemporary to realistic. From illustrator, painter, and sculptor to a combination of these.
As God walked and guided me through my life, I can see His love and work in the talent He blessed me with… evolve. Each of my pieces are an expression of “experienced” time. And, that is what I feel artists do…give people a glimpse of who they are.
